Here’s the image I used for the background of my blog. It was taken in Palm Springs in November. I set the camera up on my tripod out on the balcony. Once I had a good exposure setting for a 30 second exposure, I used my wired remote trigger to keep taking shots continuously for almost an hour. In total, I ended up with 111 shots, which I then painstakingly merged together to get the resulting star-trail shot. It took a lot longer than usual because I wanted to remove all the light trails from the many airplanes that went by during that time, which was a LOT!
