The second installment in my African Big Five series goes to the Black Rhinoceros. We didn’t see a lot of these on our trip, but enough to get a few half decent shots. Dawn took a picture of one peeing, but I’ll spare you from that…
In this first shot I think my favourite part is the bird in the mother’s ear. A lot of people don’t even notice it until I point it out to them. The second shot is a closeup profile. Their heads are so massive. The third is a full body shot with some wildebeest in the background.
