I took this photo just off highway 16 a short distance west of the town of Jasper, Alberta. I could see the mountains as we were driving along and knew I wanted to get a picture, so as soon as we came to a rest stop (there are lots in that area) I pulled over to take this shot. The snow made the detail in the mountains really pop, and in the end I decided I liked it best in black and white.
