I caught these canoers last summer just crossing the path of the setting sun’s reflection on Astotin Lake, in Elk Island National Park. I liked the colour that was being made by the sun shining through the clouds and fire smoke. Having the canoes right there as a silhouette was a bonus that gave the shot some interest.
