This photograph was actually taken last year, in a place called the Ministik Bird Sanctuary. I came across it in my archives yesterday and decided it could be worth sharing. It’s a Mourning Cloak Butterfly (nymphalis antiopa). I gave the photograph a 5×4 crop instead of leaving it at the usual 3×2, it just seemed to make a better composition that way.
