This was the last view we had of the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton Lakes as we were leaving. I kind of wanted to get the iconic shot of the hotel over the lake that you see on post cards, but couldn’t quite figure out where they took it from. Also didn’t want to spend very long trying. So I settled for this one taken from the parking lot at the golf course. A little farther away, different angle and less altitude I think, but it still turned out okay. We had a good time there and I think we will definitely go back at some point.

Thanks for your post. While up in Glacier National Park in July, we had time to hurry over through customs and enjoy Waterton ONLY for an evening. It was a breathtaking view over Waterton Lakes and I hope to be able to go back for a longer look
Yes, we were there for a few nights, but it’s definitely a place that deserves even more time to fully appreciate.
