On our way between Banff and Jasper last time, we stayed overnight at the Glacier View Inn in the Columbia Icefields. This is at the Icefields Discovery Center across from the Athabasca Glacier on Alberta Highway 93. It was kinda pricey, but we had a really nice view of the glaciers. Staying overnight allowed me to get some shots that would not otherwise be possible without being up and on the road both very early and very late. I set this shot up from our room. Unfortunately, going through the window glass I ended up with some reflected light pollution, but I still thought it made for an interesting shot. I stacked 170 images to create this, which is about 85 minutes worth of shooting. Even managed to catch what I believe is a meteor in the top left.
