Day two on Oahu was a fairly lazy day. We still did some walking around, but spent quite a bit of time on or near the beach. The black and white sailboat and pigeon photos I took in the mid-afternoon, but all the rest were taken around sunset. The shot of Diamond Head I took while holding Dawn’s sunglasses in front of my camera, just to see what kind of effect it would give. People-watching was always interesting here. In the beach scene photo my favorite elements are the guy on the sidewalk crouching to take a picture, and the little kid photo-bombing the wedding shoot. The orange sailboat silhouette photo got me some recognition on Flickr, as it made it into Explore for a day, the first time that has happened for me. It was pretty cool getting over 12,000 views and 200 fav’s in one day.
If you enjoy my photographs please consider making a purchase. All of the proceeds from the sale will go directly to help support our friends volunteering at the Seed of Hope in South Africa which is a great organization really making a difference in the community. Every little bit makes a difference, even a small digital download for your desktop!
Yeah, the orange sailboat one is pretty awesome. Caught my eye right away. But I like the pigeon shot too and the hazy dock photo. The hazy dock photo would be an awesome backdrop to photo shop a zombie coming out of the water. 🙂
Haha, I never would have thought of a zombie for that shot, thanks Sue!
Wishing I was there again….
Yeah, I know what you mean!
