Seeing a grizzly in the wild is exciting and also a little scary. This was a first for us, seeing a bear of any kind while on a hike, without the protection of a car between us. He was maybe about 200 yards away, down a bit of a hill eating dandelions. Fortunately he (she?) didn’t care too much about us being around, but I didn’t risk getting any closer.
