Well, here was the view from actually down on Papakōlea green sand beach. If you’re anything like me, by now you’re thinking it’s a bit of a stretch to call it green. More like green-ISH sand beach if you ask me. I think it’s more sort of a gold colour and I think it reproduced fairly accurately in this photo. Perhaps in the shade when it’s less sparkly it might appear a bit more green. Either way it is definitely different than any of the other beaches in Hawaii being ‘white’ or black sand, so it was something cool to see at least once.
