Here’s one last stilt photograph before I move on. I decided this shot worked better in black and white since there wasn’t that much colour in the original. I was able to boost the contrast to make the bird’s wings really stand out from the water.

From a different angle these two black-necked stilts look as though they could be in a completely different country than the one from yesterday’s post. Being a little more back-lit, the sun created some haze in the atmosphere that gives a different feel to this photo, which I quite like. Click through to see a few more shots including yesterday’s.

These birds are aptly named, as their legs are disproportionately long compared to the size of their bodies. This was a first for me and I enjoyed seeing them. Click through to see a few more shots.
