I’ve tried a few times to get a nice shot into the sun where it ends up as a small star-burst in the photo. Until now they’ve usually ended up with lots of lens flare and/or just being blown out. This time it turned out much better. I’m not sure what the difference was, as I used a small aperture previously as well. Maybe the higher ISO setting, or getting the sun partially obscured by the branch. Either way I’m pretty happy with how this shot turned out.

You are so welcome!
As a result of me reblogging Fall Foliage Hertz Rent A Car travel saw it and put in a newsletter they provide to all their customers!
They are considering hiring me to create a blog for Hertz too!
I made sure they knew I didnt take the photo & told them it was you, so you would get the photo credits.
Thanks Paulette, and congrats!

A terrific shot of our God’s creation!
Thanks Rebecca!
Like the complimentary colours. Used various apertures, it works for me when I partially obscure the sun with the branches … Enjoy our beautiful weather!
Thanks Jane. I think you’re right, the key must be having it partially obscured.
