It was my wife’s birthday on the weekend, and her cousin brought a bouquet of gerberas (thanks Lindsay!) So I decided to try taking a photograph inspired by an image I saw on Flickr a year or so ago. I used just enough light on the flower to be able to make the background appear black after dialing in the settings in manual mode.
Camera: Canon EOS 60D, Exposure Time: 1/25, Aperture: f/8, ISO: 400, Focal Length: 150mm
If you enjoy my photographs please consider making a purchase. All of the proceeds from the sale will go directly to help support our friends volunteering at the Seed of Hope in South Africa which is a great organization really making a difference in the community. Every little bit makes a difference, even a small digital download for your desktop!
Cool!
Thanks!
Awesome shot. Well done on making the background black! Gerberas are one of my favourite flowers, thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks Andrew, glad you enjoyed it!
